The Power of Yet!

‘You don’t get a Growth Mindset by proclamation. You move towards it by making a journey’

Carol Dweck (2006)

The Rubik's Cube is the most popular puzzle of all time. Solving the Rubik's Cube can be a difficult, frustrating and overwhelming endeavour. Many will put down the cube after a few minutes and say, “I can’t do it!”. 'Growth Mindset' and Resilience means that we pick it back up and say, "I can't do it yet!". This is Growth Mindset in action and this is what we want to nurture in our classrooms.

This course offers a very clear procedural method to solve the Rubik’s Cube and makes the ‘impossible’ possible for you and the children you teach.

The course modules, which bring you along the journey, are framed by key messages of Professor Carol Dweck’s landmark research and book, ‘Mindset’ and is heavily linked with the Social, Personal and Health Education Curriculum. This course aims to instil within us the knowledge and understanding of the ‘Power of Yet'.... a message, a skill and a challenge to bring back to class in September!
